Deadline reports that Mathew McConaughey will star in Born to Run, an adaptation of the novel “Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes, And the Greatest Race in the World Has Ever Seen” by Christopher McDougall. The novel follows a journalist and runner that visits the Tarahumara Indians to find out how they can run so long without getting tired or injured.
9. Deadline reports that Academy Award nominated director Morten Tyldum is in talks to explore the sci fi genre with Passengers. The film is a sci fi love story written y Prometheus screenwriter Jon Spaihts. The film was supposed to be released by the Weinstein Company but they eventually dropped the project.
10. The Hollywood Reporter says that Ava DuVernay and David Oyelowo will reteam following Selma for a drama about Hurricane Katrina.
