  • Marvel Hires Peyton Reed to helm the new Ant-Man Film,  best known for Jim Carrey’s Yes Man and cheerleader comedy Bring It On.
  • IDW Publishing has announced a new five-part mini-series called Borderlands: The Fall of Fyrestone by writer Mikey Neumann and artist Agustin Padilla. The comic will act as both a prequel to the first Borderlands video game and a sequel to the Borderlands: Origins comic from 2012.Borderlands: The Fall of Fyrestone #1 releases on July 16, 2014 for $3.99
  • Paramount is giving Turtle fans a behind-the-scenes look at the real origin story of four of pop culture’s most enduring heroes in a new documentary called Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, arriving on DVD, VOD and Digital HD on August 12. Written and directed by Randall Lobb, the film chronicles the birth of the TMNT franchise and celebrates the 30th anniversary of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael.
  • Marvel has announced that actor Vincent D’Onofrio has been cast as Wilson Fisk – aka The Kingpin in Netflix’sDaredevil series.
  • At its E3 2014 Sony Press Conference Brian Michael Bendis revealed that the television adaptation of the Powers graphic novel will be coming to PSN in the US in December. PlayStation Plus members will be able to watch the entire first season of Powers for free once it’s released. The TV series will take the form of a live-action, hour-long show, with approximately 10 episodes in the first season. Charlie Huston is the scriptwriter on the new Powers pilot, and former Falling Skies head writer Remi Aubuchon also is on board to share showrunner duties with Huston. Original comic book creators Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming are included as executive producers.
