Lucifer and his crime fighting partner, detective Chloe Decker finally end up sharing a tender kiss after Lucifer opens up to Chloe and confesses his true feelings for Chloe. Who seems to reciprocate Lucifer’s feelings.
Pierce attempts to kill Amenadiel:
Pierce tries to murder Lucifer’s brother Amenadiel and plans to pin his murder on Lucifer. However, Pierce did not anticipate Charlotte jumping infant of Amenadiel to save his life. As a result Pierce fails in killing Amenadiel and ends up killing Charlotte instead. During Charlotte’s last few minutes on Earth she speaks with Amenadiel who promises to stay with her until she takes her last breath. At which point Amenadiel discovers that his wings have grown back.
Amenadiel takes Charlotte’s soul to heaven:
As Amenadiel can fly again, he tells her that he will take her home and transports her soul to Heaven. Which is a sweet, touching moment if you’re a fan of Amenadiel and Charlotte’s relationship. As Amenadiel and Charlotte will be able to live out the rest of their days in Heaven, due to Charlotte’s selfless sacrifice.
Lucifer discovers that his brother Amenadiel has flown home to Heaven:
Towards the end of the episode, Lucifer, Chloe and Dan come across Charlotte’s body. However Lucifer, also finds a feather next to Charlotte’s body which Lucifer takes as a sign that his brother has grown his wings back and has returned to Heaven.
Lucifer and Chloe are tasked with investigating a seemingly straightforward death:
While the Amenadiel and Charlotte storyline takes center stage in this particular episode, Lucifer and Chloe also try to solve a seemingly straightforward murder case. However as they start to investigate their case, the two soon discover that they may be in pursuit of the wrong suspect and that there may be more to their seemingly straightforward case than they originally thought.
